CARD
A CARD is a bounded, consumer-oriented semantic orientation representation of a subject. It answers what the subject is, why it matters here, its scope, important boundaries and which deeper source should be considered next.
CARD & POINTER
CARD and POINTER are complementary semantic roles for reducing orientation and navigation cost without turning derived representations into source authority.
POINTER
A POINTER is a referential relationship from a referring context to an identifiable target. It can carry relationship type, locator, provenance, freshness, ownership and authority boundaries.

Authority
Authority is claim- and responsibility-scoped. A CARD may own its orientation claims. A POINTER may own its relationship assertion. Neither automatically inherits substantive authority from the target it describes or references.
Relationship to ORBIT and SORR
ORBIT provides a richer formal orientation-node and projection model. SORR handles bounded semantic resolution. CARD/POINTER provides lightweight, reusable orientation and routing semantics that can consume those results without collapsing the systems into one architecture.
